Technology

Allplast utilizes the latest materials for the development of its own products and products for the customer. Allplast has its own development department, which can also assist you when custom solutions are required.

Technology and proprietary development

Extensive work is being carried out on ballistic applications using recently developed thermoplastic composite materials. Additionally, we are actively engaged in developing new material combinations that enable the production of superior laminates and composites. We select materials that, when combined with our autoclave process, offer a clear advantage over alternatives. Thanks to our strong relationships with key resin manufacturers in Europe, we have access to the latest plastic sheet materials (extrusion and cast), which can achieve even better mechanical and optical performance, for example.

In-house development

The benefits and strength of our in-house development department:

  • Extensive experience in ballistic applications with recently developed thermoplastic composite materials.
  • Improved laminates and composites through our proprietary development.
  • Materials developed in conjunction with our autoclave process offer a clear advantage over alternatives.
  • Access to the latest plastic sheet materials.
  • Enhanced mechanical and optical performance.

Continuously evolving

In order to deliver high-quality products, we continuously scrutinize our processes and products. Developments and processes that we innovate are for example:

  • Utilization of lighter and superior materials.
  • Incorporation of advanced plastics and fiber-reinforced composites.
  • Enhanced protection against a wide range of ballistic threats.
  • Thermoplastic fibers (e.g., based on PE and PP).
  • Innovative material combinations in laminates.

Collaboration

To achieve the best results in the field of ballistic laminates (bulletproof products), Allplast collaborates with:

  • Leading resin manufacturers of acrylic and polycarbonate.
  • TU/e (Eindhoven University of Technology).
  • TNO (Defence Research).
